Synopsis:

The work opens with: @LIGHTSPEED

1,000 original sacred geometry images from the series of acrylic-on-raw-canvas paintings

by the contemporary, visionary artist David Alexander English,

silently flash twice in the first 2 minutes, intentionally overwhelming the conscious mind

with images said to stimulate cellular memory.

You see all 1,000 flash in the first 30 seconds, then again in the next 90 seconds...

THEN

THE MEDITATION: 

At a rate of 14 image transitions per minute for the next 79 minutes the images zoom &/or pause for 4.28 seconds...

accompanied by an original soundtrack

composed & performed by the artist using only the black keys of a piano entitled: 

THE SONG OF MY SOUL...

The optimum meditative state is when ones brainwave pattern is at 7 cycles per second

Our brainwave pattern is regulated by our breath rate. 

If we breaths 7 breaths per minute our brainwave pattern goes to 7 cycles per second;

If you time your inhale & exhale to the 14 image transitions per minute you will be breathing 7 breaths per minute,

& your brainwave pattern will go to 7 cycles per second, what’s called the “Theta state”

 Using the work as a meditation tool in this way if only for a few minutes,

one may experience the natural high that comes of increased Serotonin levels in ones conscious waking state... 

The work closes with: GODSPEED :

An accelerating review through the image sequence 3 times

first 7 frames per image, then 3 frames per image, then 1 frame per image,

accompanied by the 77 minutes of THE SONG OF MY SOUL compressed into 11 minutes...
